Account and data deletion
Manage your Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube connections, CastPost data and published platform content as separate actions.
1. Disconnect a social account
In CastPost Settings, choose Disconnect for the account. Local access/refresh tokens and related connection records are removed. This does not delete all independent drafts, analysis reports or publishing history. For full deletion, delete your account or tell the privacy address below which platform data you want removed.
2. Revoke access on the platform
Revoke Google/YouTube access at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions . CastPost also attempts Google revocation on YouTube disconnection; local tokens are deleted even if Google cannot be reached. For Facebook, use Settings → Apps and websites or Business integrations; for Instagram/Threads, app and website permissions; for TikTok, Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services permissions. Remove CastPost access there. Menu names may vary by version.
3. Delete your CastPost account
In Account & Security → Delete account, enter your password and confirm with DELETE. Your profile, sessions, platform credentials, API credentials, reports, post/scheduling records, upload jobs, automations, link profile and related team/invitation records are deleted. Media controlled by CastPost is cleaned up when no other record references it. Export your data as JSON first if needed. Account deletion cannot be undone.
4. Delete published platform content
Deleting CastPost or disconnecting does not delete your posts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok or YouTube. Manage those through the platform’s app or management tools; for YouTube use https://studio.youtube.com/ . CastPost edit/delete actions are available only for supported platforms and permissions.
5. If you cannot sign in or want only specific data deleted
Email the privacy address below with your account email, platform and requested scope; do not attach passwords, tokens or identity documents. We may verify your identity using minimal additional information. YouTube API data deletion requests are handled and completed as soon as possible and within 7 calendar days. Verified Meta/Threads deletion notifications can initiate deletion of relevant connection data. Sending an email does not automatically erase data; we communicate the result on completion.
6. Records and backups that may remain
Published platform content, legacy catbox.moe files and minimum records required by law may remain. An account-deletion event without your identity is retained. Existing backup copies do not immediately change when the active database is cleared; finalising backup retention/restoration procedures remains an open item before general launch. We do not claim complete deletion from other locations without verification; request a support review if media cleanup fails.
7. Membership and subscription cancellation
Paid checkout is not active. Future subscription cancellation stops the next renewal and does not by itself delete your account or data. Account deletion, export, revoking platform access and cancelling a subscription are separate actions.
